Topic: Album Release Thread

Hey guys, sitting here anxiously awaiting Black Rock to come through my mailbox and I thought seeing as 2010 seems to be the rebirt of Rock it might be of interest/help to list the release dates of upcoming Albums you are looking forward to or think others on here might be interested in.

I did have a whole ist but have forgotten most so I'll start with a couple I can remember and hopefully you guys can fill in some of the blanks I have lost -

Slash - solo album out on 07/04 in the UK can't wait for this - birthday present for sure.

Jeff Beck - Emotion and Commotion - 12/04

Oli Brown - Heads I Win Tails You Lose - 26/04

Peter Frampton has a new one coming out next month as well but forget the date hmmm

Loads mor e but my mind has gone blank

Scorpions - Sting In The Tail - 22/03

MGMT - Congratulations - 12/04

Paul Weller - Wake Up The Nation - 19/04

AC/DC - Iron Man 2 soundtrack - 19/04

Meat Loaf - Hang Cool Teddy Bear - 19/04

WOW LOADS TO LOOK FORWARD TO NOW I HAVE FOUND THE AMAZON PRE RELEASE LIST - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/new-releases … 8&pg=2

was going to add everything I thought relevant but what with the Indie, Metal and Prog releases not to mention the greatest hits its impossible so from now on I will only add the ones I am interested in but I encourage everyone else to do the same

so with that in mind I'll add -

Asia - Omega - 26/04

FM - Metropolis - 29/03

Top Musicians play Lynard Skynard - 29/03 looks interesting with people like Walter Trout covering Gimme Three Steps

Re: Album Release Thread

Welcome to the forum, lad. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and cut out the caps. It's kind of irritating to find you 'shouting' all over the place on your first day. You may have noticed that no one else's name is in caps, nor do we post topics in caps (with a very occasional exception).

You can change the title of your topic by editing the first post, not sure if you can change your user name without help from the admin.

Thanks.

RIP Iron Man

Re: Album Release Thread

Hi there, sorry about that. I have a tendency to be a bit loud my appologies. Didn't even realise I was doing that. Then again, maybe its a tad nitpicky on your part, surely no more offensive than reffering to someone as 'lad' I take onboard what you have said though thanks

Re: Album Release Thread

Jeff Beck - Emmotion and Commotion now streaming: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor … 0#playlist

Adding Steve Vai - Where The Other Wild Things Are - 12/04 - ...and I quote

"The original CD release for ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ consisted of songs from the concert DVD that had never been released in a live format before. It's a robust CD!" explains Vai. "The other songs that were performed at the concert but were not released on the CD were burning a whole in the hard drive and beckoning me for the light of day, so I thought, even though these songs have been released in live versions with other bands from the past, my new band gives them a whole new life.  So we decided to release a second disc that contains all the tracks that were not on the first disc.  And there you have it, “Where the Other Wild Things Are,” and it's even ‘robuster’ than the first one."

Also completly overlooked the fact that the John Butler Trio released their new album April Uprising on 26/3 - any reviews?

also did anyone check out the new FM album as it seems to have recieved good press pretty much

Any idea when the album will surface?  And who's material will they play?
