Topic: Bugs Henderson
At Saturday night I saw Bugs Henderson, a Texas-based guitar player. Using Forum´s Search function I didn´t find anythin, which seems to fit in the image he´s cultivating: the world´s greatest unknown guitar player.
The first three songs I thought: yes, it´s okay that you are unknown. He sounded a bit like next door´s garage band. But it seems to be his personal style of warming up (or maybe to chase away people who don´t really want to listen to him). Then he played a remarkable cover of Big Legged Woman, and it was getting better and better. Indeed he played a couple of really inspired guitar solos in a very personal way with a great diversity of styles. Besides solid blues and bluesrock he played a big variety of covers: from Elvis to Dylan, to Johnny Cash, to Cream and a great Beatles compilation.
So it turned out to be a great show. He´s around in Holland, Belgium and Sweden now.
