Topic: Raw Deal... Rich #@$@#

...i have had a great night off!...the air guitar has been going a good`n!... my kids bought me a USB cassette deck for xmas so i can transfer all of my old tapes... a rummage around revealed an old masterpiece... 4 songs on a cassette that we recorded back in the early 80`s... our band went through the Medusa stage..then the Leviathan stage.. and kinda ended at Raw Deal... it was recorded in an old railway arch practise rooms...you could only really record in the early hours of the morning when no trains were running overhead... it was all we could afford at the time so the quality is poor!... well thats my excuse anyway!... but these great times!... and great memories!....and just thought i`d share it with guys... remember it was the 80`s so its a bit cheesy... i was playing a fuzzed up Charvel on here... still got it!

...Joe said that the rocks got to come back!... so if you fancy doing a cover Joe!?... we can work something out! lol wink

I don't think its too shabby.

Certainly sounded like a high energy combo. I honestly don't think you would have heard the trains over that!

Reform. Make some more music. Roll back the years and revisit those fashion disasters of the '80's smile

...true!...when we were playing i dont think we would have heard a bomb go off above are heads!?... but not all the bands in the east end of London were as noisy as us.... err... and a couple of are songs did actually have a few stops in them!.. lol!

...can i say that i do feel uneasy putting my feeble musical offerings in amongst proper Artists and may i suggest ( and dont shout at me folks ) there might be a place for a forum solely for forum members to post their own music and band info, gig dates etc!... there must some seriously talented JB Forum members and it might be a great addition to the site!?... just an idea folks! smile

Pete, I tend to agree, that sounds like a really good idea. A lot of people have posted links to their stuff and its been lost in the threads. A specific location would be / could be good for encouraging comment, support, advice (like stop its hurting my ears). Seriously though I like the thought. Not sure I will ever have anything decent to post, but you never know. To produce good music requires some talent, practice, committment and dedication. In the band we have all 4 of these requirements in abundance but mainly towards drinking. We really need to think about changing that.......:/

Where are you from in the East End? I was born in Whitechapel and lived in E6/E12 most of my early life. Jeff Cope is also another who heard the peal of Bow Bell's. You are not alone.....................................

I agree, maybe a Forum Moderator could run that up the flagpole. Some may want to get the hide toughened up for the response though. roll
