Glad you're o.k. Patty, you never know what can happen in such situations.

My sister in law's office  was robbed many years ago and they put a pistol to het head. Took some time to get over that.

Wow Patty, that's some story.  I think you're on to something with the human factor...he lost his courage because it was hard for him to be cruel to someone so nice...    smile  Glad he bolted...

Feel confident that he won't be back because he's a marked man and everyone knows what he looks like.

I was a bank teller one summer during college in the center of the business district in Philly before the internet, direct deposit & online banking...when EVERYONE was paid on Friday.  Friday's were always a big headache day... My boss always said not to look at how long your line was, because if you stress you'll make mistakes. I had a wad of money in my drawer marked with dyed-ink that would explode if I gave it to a robber.

I agree, but disclaimer is it works in Iowa and with Patty, of course.  But not in southern California cities.  My sister has that totally positive vibe and aura, (once was called "The Beamer" due to her efficacious smile), but it actually inspired her perpetrator to wax bold.  Positive vibe here positively back-fired.  That 's why she was so shaken and deflated.  But Patty gives me Faith, and if said perp is NOT ever caught, hopefully he was shamed into quitting by my dear friend's innocence and genuine friendly nature, and takes a good turn about face in life.
