Yeah, i'm awright, i reckon. Had to back up offa dat yoga. I hate the meds I HAVE to take. Definitely not used to being broke, either. It's like starting over at my age. Humbling indeed... 
But there is NO cancer, so yippee!

Turned around last night at the deli and saw MsTia hugging some big butt beauty...and wow it turns out to be a close family friend of mine. I've played with two of her brothers in the past...
So we start talking and in answer to a question, I laid it all out about my difficulties re: a band in this town. So she said um Jeff we're sorta looking...and you sing too, so maybe we can get sumpn together.

Wait dawgs! It get's better...
Their drummer is a brother I fired some years back in a fight on stage. And the guitar player is her fiance and her son's father, who abandoned her when she was pregnant.
There was alcohol, etc. involved in both cases and I've since talked to both of them a coupla years after those events. I praised both for manning up, straightening up and being responsible and we made nice. They apologized. Funny... they did NOT know each other until recently.
They both are staying home and being dads and ...

I do believe Florida agrees with my friends. They certainly came out of that "end of tour" road funk just long enough to kick Jacksonville's **** right to the curb.
What a pleasure...consummate artists...pros...we got new sounds out of instruments old & new, we blew stuff up (not a first in that Theatre) and we received some high octane, rocking music that stopped the winos on the corner bench from crying in the dark. Such a deal...
