Built both the 2550 and HRM50 as kits, and I'm aware of the danger, need for draining before touching etc. I totally agree, that this is not something you do if you're not capable before starting. The amperage, as you say, does not only hurt - it may absolutely kill!
I'm glad to tell that the fuzzyness is also totally gone after 20 hours of playing, and as long as I can turn up past 1.5 on the level. A great, great amp indeed!
