Topic: Joe's Fault

I have been playing the guitar and singing in rock bands for most of my life. Over 25 Years. About a year ago I was auditioning a drummer who suggested that I listen to a group called Bloodline. I ordered the CD, gave it a listen and was hypnotized by the guitar player. With a little research I found out about Joe Bonamassa. I quickly ordered Live from Nowhere in Particular and then saw Joe live at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Pa. Since then I have purchased all of Joe's albums up to the Ballad of John Henry. I have also purchased albums from Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Lang, Eric Johnson and other blues artists. I AM HOOKED on the blues now and my family thinks I have gone off the deep end. This is all Joe's fault. Until I listened to Bloodline and heard the then fourteen year old guitar wiz I gave blues little thought. Since then I have left my rock band days behind me for a better journey. I dont ever remember feeling more personally attached to my music, the artist who recorded it or the genius who wrote it.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I cannot thank Joe Bonamassa enough. Although it did not work out with the drummer I auditioned, we have remained friends and I repeadedly thank him for the advice.

I feel like I have just started playing the guitar or even worse at times because I feel like I'll never get from my guitar the pure heaven I hear from Joe's.

Thanks Joe

Re: Joe's Fault

Hi Kevin,

A big welcome to the forum, and I feel ya bro, I too have been chastised by my other half for spending too much on music this past 10 months or so (also Joe's fault) so I know exactly where you're coming from. I witnessed my first Joe show recently, and I'm still buzzing. The guy is unique in every way.

Hope you enjoy your time here, they're a great bunch smile
