Topic: London - Half Moon At Putney In Trouble

London's most revered Music Pub is facing the closure of the music side of its' buisness at the end of January 2010.It's been doing fine since 1963 but the recession has now made it uneconomic.

The Half Moon has always been a stepping stone for a pub band before getting to those bigger venues,

No ordinary music pub. A tiny dressing room, at the side of the stage just two chairs and a mirror,(I've been in there when a mate was playing in his band) and you think - Jagger was in here, Peter Green, Rod Stewart, Kate Bush, Pete Townsend, John Mayal, Jack Bruce, Rory Gallagher, Bo Diddley.

Sad day.

YEs this is worth bringing up again.

There is a facebook group created and some events in order to try to save the venue:

I will be there on January 30th 2010 for The Hamsters . Also coincides with the PRATS (Planet Rock Audience Talking Shop) meets from Planet Rock radio listeners who started the campaign for the non closure of this as a music venue
