It's amazing how explosive they were back in their heyday, and despite not being as crazy up onstage as they used to be (that's very evident comparing the 1980 show vs. today) they still are capable of blowing everyone away, and consistently do. They certainly did the two I've seen them in the last 6 years or so.

Caught ZZ Top Tuesday night at the Northern Lights Theater in the local casino. Fantastic show in an intimate setting. They blew me away. Especially liked hearing one of my favorite ZZ Top songs live "Mexican Blackbird". Can't say I've ever heard that live before after all the times I've seen them.

They played that when I saw them in 2003. Love Mexican Blackbird!!!!! Her mama was Mezcan and her daddy was a ace of spade....;)
