Topic: Slow Gin - RAH

Ok, finally I get a copy of JB at the Royal Albert Hall - words cannot describe how good this guy really is......fantastic duet with Mr Clapton......

It was when Sloe Gin was performed however that the hairs on the back of my neck really stood up....being a JB fan and hearing it live in Glasgow earlier in the year, I really think that he's getting better with ever live performance and especially this track.

I'd say so far, Sloe Gin is Bonamassa's Layla.......and I'm sure we'll still be hearing JB blasting it out when he's Clapton's age....don't think it's possible to get bored hearing it....truly brilliant.

Right....off to listen to DVD 2 now.....can't wait for the Great Flood, def my favorite track from Ballad of JH.

Cheers

Sorry to be picky, but it is 'Sloe' (as in the fruit) Gin; not 'Slow' Gin wink

My Gran used to make one bottle a year by filling a bottle with Sloes and then filling it with gin and a bit of sugar, then leaving it in the cupboard for 6 months. All you could taste was the fruit, but oh boy did it pack a punch.
