Topic: Artists from Candyrat Records

Have any of you guys discovered Candyrat Records yet?

Everyone on this forum should go check out the talented artists on this truly original label.

They have a great website with everything from Acoustic/ Ambient stuff, to solo electric and bass stuff, to Jazz.  They have really exploited a niche market that is being tapped by only a few people in the industry today.

They also sell albums from Artist on Vai's Favored Nations label as well as a few others including Joe's stuff. (Look under the Blues tab to see where to purchase Joe's stuff)

Check out http://www.candyrat.com/ and let me know what you think.

Re: Artists from Candyrat Records

It's funny, because I just came across this label YESTERDAY.  The name Andy McKee had come up on another forum I participate in... I replied asking if they meant THIS Andy McKee > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS … mp;index=2 as I've been watching him and playing him for others on YouTube for a few years, and I was trying to figure out if he ever plays the States.  Anyway, I took note of his Candyrat link yesterday, and now you're bringing it up today... maybe that's a hint I need to check out more of their artists!  If Andy McKee is any indication of the originality of their other artists, then I really should. wink

Edit:  Actually I see now your post was from yesterday as well... I'm only just reading it today!

Good stuff, and yes the rest of the artists on that label have just as original compositions as well.

Great musicians playing some really challenging material.
