Wow, haven't seen an old-fashioned blowout like that in a long time.  Congrats to the Seahawks.

Rick, I have no horse in the race and honestly don't care who wins.
My gut tells me that good defense usually beats good offense. I'll say Seahawks by 4.

Side note: The problem with guys like Sherman, is that they are not unusual anymore in professional sports. I've always been drawn to athletes that work hard, play fair, show sportsmanship and, most of all, don't feel compelled to let everyone know how great they are. If you're really good at something, people will know without you telling them. I'll take a team of guys like Manning, Walter Payton, Barry Sander, jerry Rice, etc. over the blowhards any day of the week.

Damn, I forgot to put the zero on the end of my point spread!

Congratulations to Stu and all Seahawks fans. WOW, I was expecting a competitive game and looking forward to the excitement of a closer one... Didn't really enjoy the game too much...I can't help it, I felt really bad for Peyton...after such an outstanding season. Highlight for me was the Budweiser commercial with the puppies...SO CUTE!!

From the beginning of the season, I did think the Seahawks would likely win it all, should have put money on it. lol

I'm wondering how many attendees are trapped in the NJ/NY area...they keep upping the snowstorm we are having!!

Thanks Angela! Loved seeing the Seahawks defense outscore the highest scoring offense in the NFL. I enjoyed it almost as much as beating the 49ers 3 out of the last 4 times :-)

There will be no NFL in this home until Michael Vick is gone.

I couldn't agree more. Loathe that man.

I was wondering if anyone read this article? I am a fan of the Shark Tank TV show, so I zoned into this.

I like the Eagles new coach Chip Kelly alot, BUT wow, what is it about Philadelphia that sparks so much drama??? Between Donovan, TO, Vick, now DeSean...DeSean is an awesome player, he will probably end up burning us bad with the Redskins, its going to hurt.

But as the news continues to trickle out, DeSean looks to have a BIG attitude...The TO situation got out of hand, because Andy Reid didn't know how to handle him, Chip isn't tolerating insubordination in his locker room.

Awesome Shredit, I can't wait to see it! Is it really in Santa Clara? All I remember about that town is going to Great America when I was a kid. Maybe this has been well covered, but why didn't they just demo Candlestick and build new still close to SF?

That decision went round n round for years, but Santa Clara is where it ended up right next to Great America. The locals continually gripe about the traffic issues they will face and the parking issues are far from being resolved yet. It will cost a small fortune to attend a game, needless to say the long time 49er Faithful from Candlestick have been priced out. Another big gripe!

Bay Area high rollers only now. They should plan a BART station next to the stadium.
Chargers camp is looking good so far. They should be a contender again if they don't shoot themselves in the foot.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Win or Lose, I'm loving our new coach Chip Kelly. The Eagles needed a change and the change has done us good.

Of all the teams we face, beating the New York Giants is extra special!! Shutting out the Giants last night 27-0, SWEET!!!  I'm not sure if this was just popular locally or others saw it.

Actor Bradley Cooper is an Eagles fan.  Put to the music of John Legend (Philly grad). Funny...

Chargers found a diamond in the rough. Sorely needed with a series of injuries leaving the Bolts without a seasoned running back. This undrafted rookie is the real deal. Hoping the injury bug goes away for a while. Top of the heap for now and Rivers is at the top of his game.

The Chargers made the Raiders look like a football team again under interim coach Tony Sporano's guidance, getting the Raider fans hope up.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Managed to watch the Dallas v Jacksonville match from Wembley yesterday evening. Really enjoyed it, but one thing kept bothering me.

In the UK commentary box, it was Cowboys against Jag-u-ars, while the US team were talking about Cowboys v Jag-waas. Was there a 3rd team I wasn't aware of? I admit I'm still a bit green when it comes to American Football.

Seriously though, really enjoyed the (bit one sided) game, near 85,000 sold out crowd, and pleased they announced another 3 games for next season including a Jets v Dolphins match up.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

I just could talk football all day, but I would just like to get right to the point and tell everyone how much I just can't stand the Cowboys...I really am not much of a hater, especially when it comes to other sports and college sports, but I just absolutely am repelled by "America's Team"...Where did they get that moniker? I think not !! Anyway...I dislike them so much, I actually like to watch them lose more than I like to see my favorite teams win...Seriously. I'm sorry...I feel really bad...no, actually not...please...who is my favorite team? The last one who beat the Cowboys...whoever that might be...Hey..look at it this way...I'm pulling for like.... what... 31 other teams...Oh, and one last thing...Please lose, Cowboys...please
