You whiffed boys. Those were some wild and crazy games! I was out and missed the Chiefs going el foldo again but watched Brees do his thing. Green Bay will be frozen and the Niners will run it hard and win easy by keeping the GB defense on the field and wearing them out.
Rick

Chiefs did not fold.  4 & 11 and 2 1/2 toes out of bounds ends the game and season for the Chiefs.  I give big credit to the Chiefs for a great comeback season.  Of course I give even bigger credit to the Colts, WHAT a comeback they made, and Andrew Luck lived up to his name for sure.  3 interceptions AND still they are able to pull off the second biggest playoff comeback in (modern) NFL history???!!!  IMPRESSIVE!  Very.  I do have to say that fumble near the goal line that Luck picked up and dove in with highlight style honestly looked like a designed play.  Too much Luck for one game! tongue But then again, maybe it was divine intervention sent in from some angelic luxury suite.  Anyway, an totally impressive win for the Indy Colts.

The plain truth be told Andy Reid rested his starters because they were precipitously fragile and on the fringe or discombobulation.  They dropped like flies, and I think something is going to give on the continuing concussion discussion after this season. I honestly think some of these players are out to "SERIOUSLY" hurt the other millionaires with an incredibly unbelievable, incredulously arrogant air of  feigned innocence about "hit lists."  NFL need to clean up it's act.  It's a game played to simulate war, but it needs to step back from the "war" and get back to the "game."  Enough...

Philly...tough luck, but not a season to be ashamed of at all.  Foles, whom I written off earlier on, came on impressively strong and resilient.  Best look for these Eagles next year even moreso. wink

Today picks:
Chargers at Bengals
Forty-Niners at Packers

0-3 so far.  Chargers take it to the Bengals, who saw Dalton choke on his over confidence.  Bengals defense did good, but this loss hangs completely on Dalton and lesser extent Bernard fumbling at the goal.

San Francisco better not let me down...

Uhm...the Colts have to get past New England first.  I think they just may do so.  Chargers have to get past Broncos again first.  I think they will, but Peyton Manning should (like Brady) NEVER be underestimated, even if he is always a team goes as I go QB.

A lower case "f" for Faith?! yikes Bad juju! tongue I'd love to see a California team in the Super Bowl.  Just not two.  Whichever, I'll pull for 'em.  Cannot handle Rivers vs. Kaepernick, wanting much good for both, but could not enjoy either losing to the other! sad

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Hey Rick,

Did not know this...
"One little stat: The team that played the Eagles' first home game of the season has won the last 4 Super Bowls. First home game of the Eagles season you ask? Chargers won that game. lol wink
Rick"

Also, did not know the Saints win in Philly was the first on the road playoff wins in franchise history.  I thought we had a 50% chance at home, I wasn't buying into the negative banter about the Saints playing in the cold or their on the road record.  The season turned out way better than I anticipated and this is one change I can buy into with our rookie coach and rookie quarterback! We do need a new kicker though. I was rooting for Andy Reid, but the end of that Chiefs game brought back such bad memories of poor coaching...

Also Rick was thinking of you with the basketball win over Kansas, beating them helped Villanova get ranked.

I think an exciting superbowl lineup would be the Seahawks and the Broncos...just saying...if Peyton could get pass Tom Brady...If the Chargers win it all, wow, 5th straight super bowl record...everyone will want to play us first. lol  Good luck to all left in the run.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Got games transposed Rick...and teams not even present...

Seattle Seahawks over New Orleans Saints- again
New England Patriots over Indianapolis Colts- team luck runs out
San Francisco Forty-Niners over Carolina Panthers- hopefully. "C" men Cam and Colin go at it...should be good.
Denver Broncos over San Diego Chargers- just a prediction, not necessarily a hope...

Well, here goes. I'll check the results late tonight or in the morning. I'll be on the road and in the gig supporting the Midnight Mission with a bunch of guitar heros. Way better than football any day of the week.

I'm sticking with the Niners over the Panthers. I have a hunch.

Next is a tough call. I think it will be very close, probably last possession and the Colts will hang tough and pull it out over N.E.

Sunday we whiz down the freeway after a look at all those stars in the sidewalk, just in time to skype the game to the son in Berlin. Win or lose, the Chargers will beat the spread. I figure a field goal will decide it.
Have the Chargers got Manning figured out? I'll say YES! Just pound the dirt and keep the ball out of his hands.Worked so far this year.
The emergency rooms here have been crowded with a rash of sprained ankles from the fans jumping on the bandwagon. Rumor has it the Mayor has a side bet of microbrews versus buds on the outcome. roll lol

The cream will rise to the top. Brees is a quality QB who finds a way. N.O.  over the Seahawks.

Good luck all, (and glad to help out the Novas Angela)

Careful with helping out Wildcats!  They have sharp claws and teeth and no memories of assistance given!  May have fresh case of rabies, even...

Re:Chargers bandwagon- SO ironic or perhaps fitting, San Diego has the most fair weather days and fair weather fans...just had a commercial pre game, spoofing fans...Some guy says "I don't even like football!". The comeback? Easy, perfect, "You're now a Chargers fan!" lol

Your kiss of death was a bit weak. Denver won and was the better team this time out. We'll get them next year cried the losers.
