From Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam headquarters........

UK fans can hear Davy's musical contribution to the acclaimed film
'Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S Thompson' when it's shown
on BBC 2 tonight. Davy collaborated with David Schwartz on the
original music for the docu-movie, which is narrated by Johnny
Depp & features interview with Hunter himself, plus new and archive
interviews from Muhammed Ali, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon and
Martin Luther King to name a few. It was nominated for the Grand
Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, and received
excellent reviews:

**** - Time Out New York

The movie will be shown at 10.30pm GMT on BBC 2 as part of the
Storyville series.

I really don't Duncan, I just received the E-mail this morning so I'm a bit in the dark too.

Hey, one thing I do want to point out that I just found yesterday. I know a number of people have been asking me if I know anything about Davy and BDS making plans for a tour over the Big Pond. I did ask about a UK/Europe release date for his new CD, but I found something interesting on his new video of "Tear Down The Walls". Up in the right hand corner where it says "Back Door Slam Official" and then the date July 16,2009, if you click on the "more info" you will see this statement:

"Plans for a potential UK/Europe tour and album release Autumn 2009"

Now, I'm sure by no means that this is an official announcement, but it does sound promising for my friends in the UK and Europe. smile

I plan to go right to the source next Saturday night and will ask Davy directly if there are any firm plans yet. Of course, I will report back with any new info.
