Topic: Gambia style Blues

Here is something for all the guys who love Ali Farka Toure:
Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara: Tell No Lies.

Justin has played guitar with Robert Plant´s "Strange Sensation" and Peter Gabriel. He´s got a good feeling for African playing, even when he plays down to earth rock and blues. Juldeh is playing Ritti (one-string fiddle) and Kologo (two-string banjo) -  it´s astonishing what a sound you can get out of an one-or two-string instrument!! First class world music - guarantied without incense sticks.

I remember having  read your Vieux Farka Toure thread. By the way: he has made a new album called "Fondo" which is on my buying list.

Thanks Eva (and Dad), I like this - but that's no surprise. The challenge we have is trying to broaden the horizons of our transatlantic brethren. tongue
