Topic: The Joe Moss Band....

At the end of May I had the great pleasure of seeing the Joe Moss Band perform in a small club in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. I had never heard of Joe until my friends Jacque and Ken mentioned that some of the clubs local patrons paid extra money to get Joe and his band to perform locally. Joe hails out of the Chicago area and as he said, "We're not really a Chicago Blues band, we're a band from Chicago who happen to play Blues." Well, let me tell you, after one song we were simply amazed by this groups talents. Their music is a blend of Blues, Jazz and Funk all rolled up into one great sound. All four musicians in Joe's band are just fantastic. Joe carries the groups singing and lead guitar work making his Gibson Les Paul sing. On top of all of that, Joe is a down to Earth, really nice guy as I got to talk with him during the evening.

If you ever get a chance to see Joe and his Band, don't miss the opportunity. Here's some pictures and video of the night......

P.S. Sorry for the darkness of the video, Joe turned off most of the stage lights because he was getting a buzzing feedback on his guitar.

Joe is the Best!
