Re: Your opinion for a great dist/overdrive pedal?
I've a home made version of the tubescreamer but my favourite overdrive pedal is the Crowther Hot Cake Bluesberry. Managed to snag one at a good price on the bay last year and it sounds lovely. They're basically hand made by an ex-drummer from Split Endz in New Zealand. They work differently to other pedals I've used. It somehow mixes in the natural sound of the guitar with the overdrive so it never really gets to that full on heavy distorted tone. Still more than enough poke though, and it'll drive your tube amp that bit more. Well worth checking out if you come across them.
