Topic: Jason Ricci show

I know there are other Jason Ricci fans here, so I thought I'd point people to a show I taped recently. You can hear a few samples at the link below and also grab downloads. It was, as usual with him, an amazing show - about three and a half hours of music, including lots from his upcoming album. I can't get enough of these guys, and can't wait to grab the album, which comes out April 21.

Jason's "taper friendly", with lots of shows at archive.org. These are on my server just because figuring out how to post to archive.org is still on my to-do list.

(Hope it's ok to have this post here - just trying to spread some harp love.)

You are right, Boolz...there are at least a few Jason FANatics here, me being one of them.  I've seen him perhaps 15 times up and down the East coast and he and the band always put on a killer  show.

I'm getting psyched as we're getting a double dose here in the next week.  I've also had the honor of being asked up on stage to jam with him a couple of times....what a trip that is.

I'll definitely check our your posts and I'll be buying a few copies of the new CD when it drops....Buckweed his bass player called me a month or two ago raving about how great it was and he doesn't usually do that.

For you Joe fans who have never been exposed to a world-class harp player, imagine what it would sound like if someone as talented on his instrument as Joe played a harmonica.  For some people it's almost too much but I love it.  Check him out.

Thanks for the link boolz!
I am looking forward to seeing Jason and his band soon.
Carl, is the Rosedale show the 18th? things have been....crazy to say the least....since we last spoke.

Yes, Jane, it is.  You may be able to score tix at the door but they're a bit pricey ($25) for a 4-hour show with two bands, but it's apparently BYOB.   If you're seriously thinking about going, you might email the pres of the Balt Blues Society and ask if he can have tix at the door as they were supposed to be ordered by mail 2 weeks ago.  We're going, and also KClingers in Hanover now appears to be rescheduled for 4/29.  Call me if you want details.

What a GREAT show!!! This boy has more energy than a twister!! I know the Red Bull helps, but OMG!!! Great band too. BBS hold most of it's shows at the VFW, so it's a small venue. That's half the fun. We had a table in the front, so I got to sit there, with my mouth agape, and watch sweat flying! His pulmonary function results must be off the charts! They are going to be at the Blues Fest in Holland the day after Joe. Go see them if you get the chance. It's a wild ride! He goes to the top of my harp players skill list!      Cathy

LOVED Smokin Joe Kubrick and B'nois King too! Andre...they played "You Better Stop Drinking That Wine" for a closer. I had a good giggle!!!
