Topic: Fresno, April 27

My friends and family are eating dinner at the Double-Tree hotel that is across the the way from the Saroyan Theater for the Fresno concert. You can park for free there, eat dinner, go to the show, and have less traffic after the concert. The food is OK (typical hotel food). I am taking 2 new Bona-virgins to the show.

Re: Fresno, April 27

Another awesome concert! I went with 6 others. 3 were Bona-virgins, this was the second show for 2, my wife's 4th show, and my 6th. The Bona-virgins are now fans of Joe. I told them to now purchase Joe's music and DVD's.

I got to meet Natasha, Phil, and Rick before the show. It's great to meet other people on this forum as we all our slightly obsessed with Joe and his music.

My only complaint is that I wished Joe went back to a 2 song encore because more Joe is better and less Joe.

Re: Fresno, April 27

The last show of our California trifecta. Kind of funny how are seats got progressively closer to the stage with each venue. Last night we were front row and I do always like to film from the front, but I always can't help but wonder how weird it must look for the band to see someone sitting there all perfectly still with a camera at their face. Must be kind of a drag to them since they are playing their butts off and I look like I'm not really into it. Maybe I just think about these things too much, I don't know. It was nice to be so close and fortunately the sound was really good from the front speakers. The crowd was pretty rowdy at times, someone even threw an empty beer cup on stage at the end of John Henry which wasn't cool. Joe and the guys put on a fantastic show and I thought the "Angel of Mercy" was the best we had seen from these past 3 shows. It was nice to meet "Gymstreet" from here on the forum and we had a great time hanging out with our friends before and after the show. All the people we usually see at the Baked Potato for Rock Candy. We're all hoping for some Rock Candy this summer. Hopefully it will happen.
