Topic: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

Has anyone ever bought the Tour De Force M&G  package? How was your experience? I am thinking about doing it just wondering how good/bad the seats have been and if there has ever been any issues when you arrived at the venue....

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

I've used two. I've had no issues with logistics, even with changes in shows. Tamara at J&R clearly handles a lot of these.

Once I was front row, at Muddy Wolf I was row 21, but I was told that was a high demand show.

I originally bought the cheaper version of the set, earlier this year and bought one ticket to the New Orleans show and landed 12 rows center stage on the floor.  I called to see about upgrading my package because my girlfriend wanted to go. So I bought the exact same set this time with the tix and meet and greet and was told I'd be getting better seats than the one I originally bought.  The only thing better would be pit seats (between the barrier and the stage)!  So we're all set!  I'm on the meet and greet list and I'll have to wait and see about where the tickets will actually be.  But if you want to meet him, as far as I know, this package is the only way to get a meet and greet unless you buy a litho and they're all gone!  As soon s your order goes thru, they send a confirmation email with your order number and letting you know that they forwarded your info to the tour manager so he knows about your tix and m&g.  The next thing that happens is you call them a month before your show to get final details of directions...  This is my first time doing this as well!

Good luck!

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

I'd venture to say the longer you wait for your Tour de Force m&g, the worse the seating will be.  In other words buy your set as soon as possible as other people are doing the same thing.

That isn't necessarily true. There are several factors in play, including the policies of the venue. Some have gotten their M&G passes just a couple weeks ahead of the show, and ended up with great seats. Others have requested their M&G passes as early as possible, and received less than desirable seating. Having said that, it cant hurt to request your passes sooner rather than latter. I was one of the lucky ones, my M&G tickets were front row center.

Although I do agree with you, I'm just going by what the front office told me.  I explained to Tamara that I bought a singe ticket that was center stage, about 12,rows back and she said she could get me closer.  So I'm going by what she said. I'm not disputing you, but how did you get passes and tix early when they are firm about picking your passes up at the box office at the day of the show.  I actually think the searing is the luck of the draw.  Let's say they have 60 people using Tour de force meet and greets plus others using litho meet and greets. Depending on the venue ( my Saenger theatre only holds 2600 people) if they only hold 40 or 50 front row seats, that means at least 10 to 20 people will be in a balcony.  That's why I'm suggesting getting them as soon as you can get them. But as far as my seats were concerned, Tamara verbally told me I'll be closer to the stage with 2 tix together.  I asked about getting my tix and passes mailed, and she said no way, so it must be up to the venue and their policies.  I admit, I hate waiting until the day of the show and meet and greet before knowing exactly where we will be sitting.  So if you have any info on getting them sooner, please share! smile

Will call is the way it's always worked. That is how they do the m/g list. You arrive and give your name, get the tix and wristband off the list, then wait to be escorted in.  Enjoy the anticipation.

Thanks for the clarification. That's how I understood it to work! I don't want anyone to get false information.  As for seats go, we'll all have meet and greets. Any closer to him and you'd be behind him. smile.

Like you said, take care of business, enjoy the wait, and enjoy your experience!

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

at the meet n greet you'll be as close to him as you can ever be.

as for how close the seats are.. well that's a different story as some have stated much success as rows 1 or 2, some find themselves back around row 10.
there's been a number 'senior members' here on the forum that have commented on seat location a few times in the MnG assigned seats.

it's mix of what's been handed over to the venue, what's been reserved for vip seating, local contest winners and pre-sale fan seating.

I found the sound quality on the floor in the first 15 rows is amazing.

I'd go ahead and do it.  I am double dipping.  I bought the tour de force set eith tshirt only a few months back, not thinking he'd be coming to my hometown.  I then bought a single ticket that had me on the floor center stage 12 rows back.  I did that after my girlfriend and I broke up then got bsxk together.  So now I'll have 2 meet and greets 2 tour de force sets and now and extra ticket I'm trying to sell.  I told Tamara at the JB store abouty ticket and she swore she's going to get us closer to the stage with 2 seats together.  Fingers crossed and we'll see what tickets we get the day of the show.  I'm more excited to be meeting him.  I've got a couple of guitars I'd like him to sign! smile

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

Just bought the package, can't wait to see how it turns out. Our original seats were 3rd row on the balcony, ended paying like 243 for 2 tickets... The ones on the floor were way to much.... I wish I would have remembered the package deal when I bought my first set..... OH well, now gotta see what I can get him to sign for me... LOL

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

This makes me long for the days before Joe was this popular...I'm not complaining or anything. I have had the extremely good fortune meeting Joe like 7 or 8 times..I've lost track...but, lately the m&g's are a like a quickie cattle call, like so many other artists. They used to be much cooler and more intimate, but with Joe's increased popularity, he just doesn't have the time he used to...He is still super nice and approachable, but we were given rules by Bob !! Only sign so much, only talk so long, etc

I know what you mean.  This is my first time seeing Joe, but I've met KiSS a couple of times and Shinedown.  I've seen footage of Joe's meets on YouTube and the amount of people wasn't that bad. KISS and Shinedown had about 80 people, so it was like meeting Mickey mouse. Next, next, next.

Congratulations!  You're gonna love the box set.  There's four different concerts each with a slight twist or theme.  It starts at a night club and ends at Royal Albert Hall. All four shows are great and should keep you busy until your day comes for your meet and greet and show! smile

Re: Tour de Force Meet and Greet package

I bought 5th row tickets for his concert in Liverpool for more than £400 for three seats. I wish I knew about this package otherwise I would have just bought two of the Tour de Force packages! Do you know if Joe still does M&G without buying the package? I saw three of his concerts in London this March and wish I knew about the Tour de Force back then. Would really love to surprise my friend and partner who are coming with me with a M&G in Liverpool.

As far as I know, as long as you give them a couple of weeks notice before your show and they should be able to take care of it.  Customer service ask for Tamara.

without the package meet and greet, in the past at some shows there are spots for street teamers. there is not always work for the street team, or spots in the meet and greet if there is one, but the way to find out is to write to the street team director. See the street team section for other discussions, short on time for explaining right now. With the London shows i don't know if there would be any opportunity. I think that sometimes radio stations might have some to give away, no idea about that, just something to look out for. Then make friends with folks here because sometimes someone would have a +1 but not a +3 lol.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing how the show was, or about any of the past shows you have seen, maybe try to search the reviews section here for threads exisistng or start your own. welcome

Thanks Jane. It will just be me, my long suffering boyfriend and my old school friend who I am treating to the show for her 30th birthday. I would have bought two packages to get the required number of seats and still have one left over. I guess maybe +2 would be pushing it and quite rude in which case I better leave it. If given the opportunity I couldn't decide which of the two to take unless I didn't go! Like that would ever happen!?! lol

Mr Bonamassa was rather poorly with a chest infection when he was in London and cancelled some of the M&Gs later in the week but he still played. I sdon't know how he managed two hours on stage. Thought he was going to faint he looked so pale. You could see he was suffering. Such a pro though. I wasn't privileged enough or had the foresight to look into M&G beforehand but I was just grateful to actually get to see him play, let alone three times in the same week. Shame we had to go home on the Saturday otherwise we would have got tix for that gig too. Will check out the other threads. Still new to this :-)
