Just a bump. I've an extra ticket for Saturday I got in case a needy fan would like a free ride. I've contacted a gitstore in Vegas hoping for a taker. See ya in the Loose Caboose. smile

Re: Las Vegas

Two fantastic shows and days of fun with the big crew of fans that gathered from all over the country. Great meetups at the Loose Caboose both nights for a few hours of socializing, food and drinks set the stage for two over the top performances by the band and Joe. I shot a bit of vid tonight since I had a good vantage from the front row of the first mezzanine center. The first night had me seated right behind a huge guy (brother of King Kong at least) in center floor so I didn't even try.
On the road first thing tomorrow to hopefully beat the surely heavy traffic back with the town packed for the fight, Supercross finals and a few conventions. Rooms were n/a from more than a month ago at anything less than high roller prices. I got a deal on a 2 br. house rental for the two days and split it with Paul and Suzie for half the price of a room at the cheapest hotel. I'll be looking for the same in the future.
vids will be delayed a couple of days but they will be trickling out.

Re: Las Vegas

Looking forward to the videos Rick.  That city must have been nuts this weekend.  Good idea on the house rental too!

Re: Las Vegas

Great time in Vegas this weekend at the shows and hanging out with everyone. Vegas is definitely not my kind of place and after talking with some of the guys in the band and the fact that Joe and all of them hightailed it out of there lickety split last night, it's not really their kind of place either, but it's a wonderful venue, on the smaller side with fantastic sound and it's nice to stay right in the same place that they are playing. Very convenient. We were sitting in the 4th row and 2nd row for the 2 nights, over on the left side near Reese. Nice to be closer to the stage, but not the best angle for filming especially since the floor is flat and heads quickly get in the way. Crowd was good the first night, but the second night there was an extremely drunk guy right behind us that had a really loud growling voice and felt the need to constantly talk and yell things out specifically during Joe's quiet parts. I really was hoping he would just pass out. I filmed some from both nights.

Re: Las Vegas

My mini tour of five shows over three weeks ended with Vegas. What a fun time meeting more Bonafans along the way (Rick, Massa the Blues, Lee and Renee) and seeing pals that I’ve met in the past (Sally, Natasha and Phil, Mike and Sherry DiTurno).

I have to say that this is my favorite tour so far having first saw Joe live in 2011. I absolutely love the horn section and the way it fills everything in, plus they’re fun to watch. And, of course, the band as a whole isn’t missing a beat (goes without saying). As for Joe’s playing and singing – just when you think you can’t be blown away anymore, he digs just a little deeper. Simply brilliant! The long, slow, quiet solos were never my thing so I’m glad to see a return to blistering, face-peeling solos! I won’t need to exfoliate for a while after this! Lol

Best surprise this time around – Kevin McKendree. He filled in on keys in Chicago and was fantastic! Would be great to see him on a future tour.

Biggest disappointment – t-shirt offering. Why only three shirts available? And not even a DSOB tee.

I could gush on and on but will spare you.

Once again I will say THANK YOU Joe, band, crew, Roy, and whoever else it takes to keep it on the road. These concerts have been some of the best experiences of my life and I can’t wait for more!

PS to Roy: If December opens up, let’s talk about the birthday party! wink

LIVE MUSIC IS BEST

Re: Las Vegas

Agree all around, the Vegas shows were the best EVER!  Joe is such an astounding talent.  And he has assembled a totally stellar band.

Feeling so fortunate to have finally had the chance to meet what I consider Joe celebrities at the pre-show get-togethers, especially those inaccessible west-coasters...Cindy, Cathy W., Nancy A., Kim, Rick & classy Helen, Gina & Doug, Paul & Suzie, Barbara & Joe A. (happy anniversary!), Anna, Hoov, Bill Cobb (thank you for the arrangements!), Linda and St. Bob, and the 3 wild and crazy guys Lyle, Tim and Barry from Canada!   Wonderful to once again see Barbie, Mike & Sherri, Phil and Natasha (permanent appreciation for the videos smile)   The best family going.  Can't wait until next time.

Barbie, I'll clear my calendar to join you for when Joe plays at your b-day party big_smile  big_smile .

Re: Las Vegas

It was a pleasure meeting you and all the East Coasters for us too.
On Saturday with a day to explore, our friends and fellow house renters (such a deal!) Paul and Suzie took off to Red Rocks nearby on Bill's recommendation and toured the park. Perfect weather in the 80's with a nice breeze greeted us and it was all as described. Petrified ancient sand dunes surround the valley but the highlight was seeing the myriad desert plants in bloom. I shot photos while they visited the center and put a small photo gallery up on my fb wall of the desert plants surrounding the visitor center in a garden collection.

Re: Las Vegas

Joe was over the top again in Las Vegas! He was come so far over the years!
It was such a blast to get together with all the Bonabuds before the concerts both nights! Got to see many I met before and some I had not, like Sally.
I had a meet and greet with Joe May 1st and I coaxed him into smiling for me this time. He gave me a small one but I am not complaining. Speaking of, THANK YOU Joe for the smile. I know you must get tired of trying to smile all the time and I appreciate you smiling for me,
I had only planned on going the first night but since hubby got into the boxing hype I snatched Rick's extra ticket and saw Joe again the second night too! He was excellent both nights! As he always is! Thank you Joe for two flawless concerts! You are the best!
