Topic: Roland Blues Cube

Hey all,

Has anyone checked out the Roland Blues Cube yet?  I have seen the videos and I was wondering if anyone actually had a chance to play one.  Love to hear your comments on it..

Thank,

Barry

Re: Roland Blues Cube

don’t think it is in the shops yet (not in the UK anyway). It looks really interesting, - and what about the Eric Johnson tone capsule  thing that you can add?

Re: Roland Blues Cube

I know they have them available in online stores now. And, sold separately, Sweetwater sells an Eric Johnson attachment that completely re-voices the clean and dirty channels. Clean sounding like Fender Deluxe and dirty sounding like Plexi. But just that attachment alone cost about half the price of the amp. Kinda steep for solid state.

Re: Roland Blues Cube

I read/heard nothing but RAVES about it.   It and the "Artist" Cube, which accepts the "tone modules"... check out the Eric Johnson demo of the Artist Cube with the EJ Tone Module (!!!)

Re: Roland Blues Cube

yeah, it would be nice to hear it in person rather than sound samples. They say the clean channel is kin to a 59 Bassman. But I like to see how it reacts trying to clean up or dig in with volume knob and such. And, of course, how it handles od pedals.
