Topic: Feather Falls last night

Hello forum friends, took a rode trip with Jdawg to this indian gaming casino. Didnt know what to expect from the crowd, I know this area has one of the highest unemployment rates around. So I was figuring it to be a small crowd, I was wrong, there were about 600 people in attendance. John and I got to mingle around the crowd and ask if they had heard of Joe, most had not. When Crosby came out to open, the crowd was way to quiet, he asked the crowd if they were ready to see Joe, the reply was subdued, so he asked again with his hand cupping his ear for a better response, slightly better. My thought was, this is a free show to these peeps so they wernt to hyped up. Crosby woke them up, and by the end of his set, he got a nice round of applause. A short break and the band comes out to play. By the time "walk in my shadows" is done the place has a VERY stong pulse. Sloe gin got the best appluse I've seen yet at a show. I scanned the crowd, and moved to 5 different locations, there was none of the chatter that you will see as people are drinking, these people were under the "spell". When the show ended, everybody was on there feet cheering, I think we might just get a few more forum friends. We got a chance to say hello to the band and John brought some nice bottles of wine for Joe to enjoy. I guess were going to Santa Cruz to see the band tonight, so i gotta gas up the van and head to the pacific ocean.

See ya..Shred

P.S....took some pictures, I'd post them on here but my dum arse has no idea how!, guess I should learn how huh. Oh by the way, I scored the coolest poster, I doubt any of you has one nicer than this. I went to the manager of the casino, and she removed it from its glass enclosure. It's about 3 feet by 4 feet with Joe holding his guitar playing, his name in large print at the bottom, and on the top of it,

" # 1 BLUES ALBUM IN THE COUNTRY! "

Re: Feather Falls last night

Hey Shred, nice review and sounds like another stellar show.  It is always interesting to hear about the crowd on hand and the end result.  Nice score on the poster too!!!

Music is good for the Soul...

High -five Shred !!!!   I don't know, but I think it's got to be kind of nice for Joe, Carmine, Rick, & Bogie to look out into a "new" audience and see a couple of faces they know, too.  Sounds like you guys are having a blast.  You guys are like Army Recruiters....Joe's Army that is  smile
