There's a rumor here that Joe's coming over to Japan and having some gigs sometime in September.
In fact, he will have a guitar clinic in Tokyo;

Umm..., can I expect something? Or he's coming over for this session just like last winter? 
I just hope to see some tour dates updated soon!

There are three shows in the works right now for Japan. The cities are FUKUOKA, OSAKA, and TOKYO, around the the middle of September.

I expect you have a bunch of people over here in Japan-land who will take care of you when you get here - but if you fancy a stroll around Ochanomizu, where there are a couple of thousand guitar shops (I exaggerate, but only slightly), and a quick peek at one of you signature Les Pauls (it was still there last time I looked) - then I'd be happy to oblige.
there's also a shop with an ancient looking Explorer and some other interesting things, all marked "not for sale," which might be worth a visit.
Anyway, all the best for your japan trip and hope to see you play live in Tokyo.

My first post on the site and it is being made for a good cause. Joe's upcoming trip to Japan is the best news I've heard in a while. Fantastic news. Been waiting for a long time to see Joe here in Tokyo. Now I have to wait 12 more hours to find out if there are still tickets available...keep you fingers crossed. 
Question about tour date schedule. While this thread discusses a series of shows in Japan, Joe's tour schedule on the main web page does not. Why is that? Also, is this the first time Joe has played in Japan? Many thanks.

I'll be shocked if the tour gets cancelled.

He had a guitar clinic last winter in Tokyo. I couldn't join it because it was advertised only on the sponsor's website.
woo hoo! Two tickets in hand for the Tokyo show. Also signing up for the clinic the evening before the Tokyo show. Hope there is no cancellation.
