I know my original response when this model first surfaced was quite unflattering and I think I even used the word blasphemy. I'm not a Les Paul snob by any means, but some things I feel just aren't right. But seeing it live on Monday has softened my opinion a lot. It actually looked interesting. The proportions that seemed all wrong in the video & photos looked fine in person. The edge burst finish was more noticeable and I kind of liked that little detail on this model as well. Les can stop rolling over in his grave. I should have trusted Joe's judgement a lot more than I did. I beginning to think there might be a place in the world for this model. But it is sure to be an extremely polarizing guitar.
